A stored database of images is exploited, using the image processing techniques available and feature extraction, identification, and classification is done using various algorithms. The techniques used for this whole process are based on machine learning because of its higher accuracy and better efficiency than other techniques available. Face recognition is accomplished using the sub-field of Deep learning i.e., Convolutional Neural Networks. It is typically a multilayer neural network of neurons, trained to perform discrete tasks using extraction and classification.
